Make The Big Decisions!


  • Pick a tentative date
  • Decide on the approximate guest amount
  • Choose officiant and ceremony site
  • Determine budget and define who's contributing
  • Choose color scheme
  • Decide the theme or look you want to achieve (simple,modern, traditional,whimsical etc.)
  • Tour reception sites (keep in mind your theme and color scheme and guest number)
  • Book reception site(do you have the option to bring outside catering) 
  • Book caterer (determine price per head and a rough draft menu selection)

You've officially just gotten started!
If these tasks seem overwhelming I suggest you hire a professional wedding planner at this point before signing any contracts if you're thinking your budget is too limited maybe not most DIY brides spend the same if not more because most professionals are privy to heavy discounts that the average consumers are not and this way your day will be stunning and worry free.
